René was awarded 3rd prize at an international magic contest in Austria on 22nd May 2010. The competition took place in the Alpine resort of Zell am See. René won in the "Parlour Magic" (cabaret-style magic) category. There were no first and second prizes awarded in this category, making him the overall winner.

Award-winning children’s magic - October 2007

Magic on the air – July 2006

René was invited to appear on Ali Khan’s legendary late-night chat show. The show aired on Munich’s popular music station “Charivari” between 11pm and 1am on 17 July 2006. Besides being the subject of an interview, René also performed three magic tricks on the radio, two of which were done with members of the public that phoned in.

René appears on popular German TV science programme “Galileo” – May 2006

At the end of May, the major German TV channel, ProSieben featured a short trailer showing René whipping away a tablecloth from underneath an assortment of cutlery, plates, bowls, water and wine glasses standing on the table. The sequence was shown in slow motion and René managed to quickly remove the large tablecloth, clearing the table completely and leaving all objects in their near original positions.
